Emerging from Aotearoa, New Zealand, Groove Incorporated is a modern roots, soul and R&B project led by DJ and producer Michael Fredrickson. Raised on the East Cape and now based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Fredrickson brings a strong sense of place to a sound that blends modern roots reggae with soul, R&B and contemporary production.
THE SOUND
Drawing on years behind the decks and in the studio, Groove Incorporated combines groove-driven rhythms, soulful melodies and spacious production with laid-back island influence and polished urban textures. The result is music that feels both grounded and modern — equally suited to reflection, movement and late-night listening.
